LORD Corporation joins SCRS as corporate member

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists announced Monday it has welcomed Cary, N.C.-based LORD Corporation as its newest corporate member, among the latest to join an group of companies supporting the association’s mission to educate, inform and represent the collision repair professional throughout all segments of the collision industry.

LORD is known in the automotive assembly industry for their Magneto-Rheological vehicle suspensions; Autoseal coatings; electronic potting encapsulants; and Chemlok, Flocklok, and Versilok lines of adhesives. LORD Corporation’s OEM connection in vehicle assembly allows them to bring cutting edge technology to the collision repair industry through the Fusor Aftermarket Adhesives product line. Fusor adhesives and sealers carry numerous OEM approvals, such as Fusor 108B, approved by Ford for the aluminum 2015 Ford F-150 and Fusor 2098 approved by GM for crash-durable steel to aluminum bonding on the Cadillac ATS and CTS.

“We are partnering with SCRS because we value their deep and broad industry involvement and hope to increase Fusor’s support to the collision repair industry,” LORD Structural Adhesives staff scientist Douglas Craig said in a statement. “This membership will allow a great channel for providing important product information and training to help collision repairers make the right repair, using the right procedures. I have worked with SCRS indirectly for many years and am really excited to take it to this new level of support.”

Fusor will participate in various industry events sponsored by SCRS, such as the Repairer Driven Education series training segments offered at the SEMA Show.
