OEConnection announced Wednesday a “bi-directional integration” with PartsTrader which would allow dealerships to process PartsTrader quote requests and orders on CollisionLink.

The integration is expected to appear in early 2016.

Little else was known Wednesday. OEConnection branding and culture manager Geo Money noted in an email “it’s still very early in the development of the integration and no additional details are known at this time.”

“As the prevailing solution provider open on the desktop and used extensively by franchised automotive dealer parts departments nationwide every day, OEC considers integration with PartsTrader part of our continuing mission to drive efficiencies through the dealers’ systems,” OEConnection CEO Chuck Rotuno said in a statement. “The incorporation of PartsTrader order processing into CollisionLink will aid us in that effort by reducing the time dealers spend fulfilling their collision parts orders.”

“Integration with OEC complements PartsTrader’s mission to become the most comprehensive collision replacement parts sourcing and procurement platform for the industry by providing a seamless experience to users of both solutions,” PartsTrader CEO Rob Cooper said in a statement. “Thousands of collision repairers are now choosing to use PartsTrader as their parts sourcing solution. Without any phone calls or additional effort, repairers can receive the most complete and accurate information to make the best buying decisions for their businesses.”

“OEC has long viewed integrating with collision shop procurement applications a key part of our strategy in delivering incremental value to our dealer network,” OEConnection collision and OEM program Vice President Bill Lopez said in a statement. “The order fulfillment API is designed to consolidate disparate ordering systems into one, easy workflow for the dealer, streamlining the order fulfillment process for the parts counter person.  By extending our API to PartsTrader, we remove the need for the dealer to have an additional system to manage and support.”
