The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) has elected three members to its Technical Committee.
CAPA’s Technical Committee develops, maintains, reviews, and refines CAPA’s quality and American national standards, a press release states. Committee members include collision repairers, distributors, insurers, manufacturers, and quality professionals.
The new members are Alan Bush, ALDB and Associates Consulting, LLC; Raymond Pearson, LKQ/Keystone; and Jeremy Scott, American Family Insurance Claims Service.
Bush retired from USAA in November 2015 after more than 45 years in the auto repair and insurance industries, including 32 years as an insurance claims program manager, advisor, and physical damage claims professional.
Pearson was promoted to director of quality assurance at LKQ on June 1. Before that, he had been an LKQ senior quality engineer since September 2007.
Scott has been an AFICS auto claims senior manager since February 2022. Before that, he was an auto physical damage desk manager for nearly six years responsible for coaching, guidance, and leadership to an inside auto damage appraisal desk unit. He also worked at Travelers for a year as an auto field appraiser.
“CAPA is pleased to welcome these new Technical Committee members,” said Clark Plucinski, CAPA Board of Directors chairman, in a news release. “Their decades of experience with the automotive aftermarket will help us continue to live up to the high standards of CAPA’s certification program and provide valuable insight into ways CAPA can grow to meet the demands of our ever-changing industry.”
