CIF to hold 14th annual charity fundraising event in Palm Springs
By onAnnouncements
The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) will hold its 14th annual charity event ‘Cocktails for a Cause’ on Jan. 21 in Palm Springs ahead of the Jan. 22 Collision Industry Conference meeting.
Cocktails for a Cause is one of two main fundraising programs for CIF, which financially assists collision industry professionals when they are faced with an emergency.
“Through the generous support of many industry donors and individuals, CIF is continuing this vital mission,” CIF’s website says. “In recent years, hundreds of individuals have received disaster relief assistance, including survivors of hurricanes, wildfires, flooding, or other significant losses. We appreciate the ongoing support of our industry partners and look forward to another successful event.”
Recently, CIF supported those in the industry impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
Resources are available to anyone who works in the industry, Petra Schroeder, CIF secretary, previously said. This includes individuals working in shops or in supporting roles outside of a shop.
Schroeder said the organization does not provide funds for businesses. However, she said a business owner could apply for funds for items like tools they personally owned.

Individuals and business owners can also apply for assistance if they’ve lost personal property, such as a house, from a disaster.
Cocktails for a Cause includes industry networking, food and beverages, live drawing for prizes, and a live auction. It starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Cascades Lounge at the Agua Caliente Casino. Attire is casual.
