The National Auto Body Council will hold its second annual NABC Gala and 30th-anniversary celebration, themed “The Best Is Yet to Come,” and presented by Crash Champions on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, California.

Funds will go to the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, which assists veterans, military members, families in need, and first responders in communities nationwide.

The collective accomplishments of NABC members will be celebrated and the NABC President’s Award given at the event.

“For more than 25 years, we’ve been intentional about building a culture upon the core commitment that the collision repair industry is about ‘People First, Always,'” said Matt Ebert, Crash Champions founder and CEO, in a press release. “That principle is why we are so proud to partner with the National Auto Body Council and its tremendous work to advocate for the industry within local communities across the U.S. Collision repair companies have felt the good work of this organization for decades, and we are thrilled to support the second annual NABC Gala as the presenting sponsor.”

Through NABC, members have gifted more than 3,300 vehicles and provided extrication training opportunities for more than 6,000 first responders through its Recycled Rides First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.) programs.

However, demand continues to grow to meet the needs for reliable transportation and first responder education across the U.S., and NABC is committed to meeting those growing needs, the release states.

“This is an incredible opportunity for the collision repair industry to come together again to celebrate our collective efforts to give back in the communities where we live and work,” said Tom Wolf, NABC Board of Directors chairman, in the release. “We are excited to bring our NABC gala to Collision Industry Week in Palm Springs and look forward to seeing everyone out to support our programs and our focus on changing and saving lives.”

NABC will also host poolside events, golfing fundraisers, and family activities. Donations and sponsorships are tax-deductible.

A special NABC rate of $299 is available at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa from Jan. 20-22 if booked here.

Jan. 20 will feature an NABC Recycled Rides presentation and networking lounge followed by a reception and the gala. The following day will host an NABC golf tournament at Indian Wells Golf Resort, Celebrity Course. There are 20 foursomes available for open play. Greens fees are $250 per player including cart and range balls.

Details on the full agenda, guest activities, and registration information are available here.

The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) will also hold a fundraising event during Collision Industry Week.

The 14th annual “Cocktails for a Cause” will be held Jan. 21 at the Agua Caliente Casino Cascade Lounge in Palm Springs from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The event will feature industry networking, food and beverages, live drawing for prizes, and a live auction.

The charity event raises emergency relief funds for collision repair industry professionals in their times of crisis.

“Through the generous support of many industry donors and individuals, CIF is continuing this vital mission,” a CIF press release says. “In recent years, hundreds of individuals have received disaster relief assistance, including survivors of hurricanes, wildfires, flooding, or other significant losses. We appreciate the ongoing support of our industry partners and look forward to another successful event.”
