The Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) reports a successful 2024 with inquiries resulting in more than 1,000 information provider (IP) P-page changes.

DEG is a free online resource that helps identify, address, and resolve omitted and inaccurate information in estimating programs through a standardized inquiry process for all three estimating systems. The database can also be used to verify and document necessary operations addressed by other users and confirmed by the information provider.

DEG Administrator Danny Gredinberg provided the following 2024 year-to-date statistics:

“2024 was a year of success for the DEG,” Gredinberg said. “We have seen the industry using it more than ever! There was an 11% increase in utilization along with results that yielded corrections from all three information providers for accurate information.”

DEG’s website includes a searchable database that collision repairers can consult and filter specifically by estimating system, vehicle make, and more. Inquiries can also be submitted on the website here.

“Through the additional industry support from our sponsors, DEG is able to continue being a free industry resource to all industry stakeholders,” Gredinberg said.

DEG is funded by member dollars from the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) and the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) as well as corporate sponsorships from:
